Coronavirus has changed everything around us. In this new normal everything has changed. There is no single sector that is not affected by this pandemic. The education sector is one of the most affected sectors and the impact of this virus can be experienced for the long term in this sector.

Education plays an important role in the growth of any country. Engineers, doctors, and educated citizens are the production of this sector. In today’s scenario when schools and colleges are closed for undefined time and classes have moved from a big room to a small screen of the phone, people are worried about the quality of education. Online classes are a good option to continue the education of the young kids but it’s not very promising for the long run. The online classes are good for the students from 6th and above standards but primary schools are still to look for a suitable option.

The situation in the village is even worst. Online private schools have introduced this concept of online classes. A few parents can also afford this concept of education but in villages where the standard of education is already very low neither parents are aware of online classes nor they can afford it. This epidemic has allowed the authorities to make some changes in the base of the education system. When the primary education system will get modified, its impacts will be seen for the long term. Teachers and authorities can start by using more engaging educational stuff to teach the students.

In the higher education system, India has experienced some drastic changes so far. Here also the uneven distribution of universities and colleges is the main concern. The urban areas have more universities in comparison to rural ones. A few states have already announced to promote the students in further classes without exams while online education continues.

To conclude the whole scenario of education during and post Coronavirus we have to accept that quality of education has decreased but the present situation also has given an opportunity to improve the education system from the bottom to top. Institutions and governments are coming up with online courses and making it possible for the students to learn. CCC certification is an innovative course that aims to spread digital literacy in the country.
